Welcome to Acocks Green Men’s Shed

Acocks Green Men’s Shed is all about meeting like-minded people and having someone to share experiences with. We believe it’s important to have fun, share skills and knowledge and gain a sense of purpose and belonging.

We’re all about reducing isolation and feelings of loneliness, allowing men and women to deal with both mental and physical health challenges more easily while remaining independent.

WHY JOIN US?

You may have a shed of your own but perhaps you’re missing the company of others while you work.

You may have a desire to learn new skills and you’re looking for help from people who want to share their expertise.

Perhaps you have skills that you’d like to pass on to others. We are always looking for people to help our members with their projects.

You might just like the chance to get out the house, meet others and put the world to rights over a cuppa and a biscuit or two.

As a member of the Shed we would welcome your views as to the activities we could offer, how we can engage with the community and generally how the shed should operate.

The Shed is run by its members for its members. Why not get involved with this exciting community initiative?

  1. Hi everyone. The ‘friendship bench’ we built and donated to Bells Farm Primary (School) has been painted and about to be put to use. We thank Evie Grace Treadwell and her two friends for getting covered in paint, some of which has found its way onto the bench! Thanks too to the head teacher and staff of the school for making this project possible! See the photograph on our FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/acocksgreenmensshed/
